Subject: Alaska USA Wrestling State Tournament Coach Certification Requirement
At the 2010 Alaska USA Wrestling membership meeting it was voted by the membership to require coach’s to have a USA Wrestling Copper level certification or higher to coach at the State Tournament in 2012. This was additional discussed and voted on at the 2011 membership meeting to implement at this year’s state tournament.
The board of director’s has received numerous request’s for waiver on this requirement and based on the number of waivers the board received, a quick meeting is requested on April 14,2012 at 9:00am at Colony High school with the representative of sanctioned club of Alaska USA Wrestling to discuss this matter.
