Alaska USA Wrestling

The 3-day 2022 Alaska USA Wrestling Championships were a huge success. It takes teamwork to pull this off and we had such a variety of volunteers from different clubs this year that it really was inspiring. Thank you to all who helped from set up to mat & pairing officials to hospitality to security to video band sales to tear down and award presentations. We celebrated the retirement of Jeanette Perkins (Pairing Officials Director) after 30 years of service, we had 3 officials from the lower 48 join us and I'd like to give a Big shout out to our State Tournament Director, Bob Ottum who works his tail off all season, but especially during the State tournament finale. Our Alaska wrestling family is THE BEST!
